The domain lookup on this website

When you analyze a domain on this website, the lookups are performed by your own browser. HUB Likha operates no scanning backend for this feature, so no Tanaw server receives, processes, or stores the domain you looked up.

Your browser sends the domain name - and the IP addresses that domain resolves to - directly to the providers listed below. Those providers receive the request as they would any other request from your browser, including your IP address, and handle it under their own privacy terms.

• Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1), with Google Public DNS as a fallback - the domain name, to read its public DNS records.
• rdap.org, which forwards to the registry for the domain's TLD - the registrable domain, to read public registration data.
• RIPEstat and ipinfo.io - an IP address the domain resolves to, to read public network and ASN information.
• SSLMate CertSpotter - the registrable domain, to read public Certificate Transparency log entries.

If you paste a full URL, the path, query string and fragment are discarded before any lookup is made. They are never transmitted.

Tanaw never sends a request to the website you are analyzing. Every fact in a profile comes from public DNS, registry and certificate-log records. Tanaw does not probe, crawl, port-scan, or enumerate the analyzed site.

What this website stores

Nothing. The domain lookup sets no cookies, writes nothing to local storage or session storage, and keeps no server-side record of your query. Results exist only in the page you are viewing and are gone when you close the tab. Reports you export are generated in your browser and downloaded directly to your device.

This website runs no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no third-party tags. It loads a web font from Google Fonts; no other third-party resource is requested unless you run a lookup.

Extension core analysis

Tanaw analyzes the website currently open in the user's browser tab. Its core analysis is performed locally in the browser using page structure, metadata, scripts, resources, response information, cookies, technologies, and network signals available to the extension.

Data use

Tanaw uses analyzed website information solely to provide its website-intelligence and reporting functionality. HUB Likha does not sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness.

Optional live lookups in the extension

Optional live lookups are disabled by default in the extension. When the user enables or initiates a lookup, Tanaw may transmit the domain name or IP address required to perform that lookup to the identified external provider. Tanaw does not intentionally transmit page body content, passwords, form entries, or authentication credentials to lookup providers.

Cookies

Tanaw may inspect cookie metadata associated with the analyzed website, such as cookie name, domain, expiry, Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite attributes. This information is used to produce privacy and security findings. Tanaw does not modify or delete website cookies as part of its analysis.

Storage

The extension may store settings, feature preferences, temporary scan state, saved reports explicitly requested by the user, and licensing or entitlement state in browser storage. This website stores none of these.

Remote code

Tanaw does not execute remotely hosted JavaScript, WebAssembly, expressions, or other executable code. Extension logic is packaged with the distributed extension, and this website's scripts are served from its own origin.

Acceptable use

Tanaw reads publicly published records about domains. It is not a tool for reconnaissance against systems you are not authorized to assess, and features that would enable that - active scanning, brute-force subdomain enumeration, bulk automated analysis - are deliberately absent.
